[Gou comes on screen, and her Plusle's hanging out on her shoulder. Looks like he's catching a nap.]

Hey, what level should these guys be before trying to take on a gym? There's one in Violet, right? We're -- uh, Makoto-senpai and me -- are heading that way, and it seems like it'd be really fun to do!

[She glances over at the Plusle, still napping.]

Oh, and what kind of nickname would you give a Pidgey? She's in her pokeball right now, but I can't seem to think of anything good right now. There's a lotta pressure, I mean, I'm gonna be calling it that every battle from now on...

I mean, I guess they could go without one, but... it seems a little easier to have nicknames, especially if I might end up with doubles or triples of the same type.

Uh, I think that's everything... [The red pikachu (yeah, she's still internally calling it that sometimes) shifts a bit, rubbing the electric pouhcy bit riiight across her shoulder-- meaning, shock time.] Ow! Jeez, watch it, Piccolo! [She binks him in the forehead.] That's for other pokemon, not me--

You know, it kind of was? But it was a pretty big thing, I think. I mean, that's the impression I got! One of those fancy shindigs where there are important people everywhere and you have no idea who they are but they're still pretty impressive.

Eesh. That sounds kinda intimidating, even without the blindfolding thing. What was the party for? I mean, were they just rich guys throwing one for kicks, or was it for a birthday or something?

...I think it might've been rich people throwing one for kicks, but this cool new Pokemon species that no one here ever saw before showed up, too! If I'm remembering right, that's the big reason they did it.

It's... this little slug thing. They kept calling it a Bloober, but I think it's actually a Goomy...? Anyway, even if regular slugs are really gross, this little guy's pretty cute, from what I could see!

...still kinda slimy, though.
