Hey, what level should these guys be before trying to take on a gym? There's one in Violet, right? We're -- uh, Makoto-senpai and me -- are heading that way, and it seems like it'd be really fun to do!

[She glances over at the Plusle, still napping.]

Oh, and what kind of nickname would you give a Pidgey? She's in her pokeball right now, but I can't seem to think of anything good right now. There's a lotta pressure, I mean, I'm gonna be calling it that every battle from now on...

I mean, I guess they could go without one, but... it seems a little easier to have nicknames, especially if I might end up with doubles or triples of the same type.

Uh, I think that's everything... [The red pikachu (yeah, she's still internally calling it that sometimes) shifts a bit, rubbing the electric pouhcy bit riiight across her shoulder-- meaning, shock time.] Ow! Jeez, watch it, Piccolo! [She binks him in the forehead.] That's for other pokemon, not me--

Yeah... I mean, I'm sure they've got a lot of untapped potential, but they're... like, not darkness crows or eagle chicks or anything. They're just kinda sparrows that can take you out if all your Pokemon are unconscious or something. Maybe if you don't have an Electric type?

But yeah, go with something cool here.

Aww, eagle chicks would be awesome. But I figure if I train her up enough, she can at least peck our opponents enough to make it suck for them. Y'know, temporarily. Right now I've got a flying and an electric, though!

Oh, I have one of those! I caught him in... a place I'm no sure how to get to? He's a real scrapper, though!

And yeah! If you train her enough, she might go through some kind of crazy form shift and end up really tough, so keep at it! And those two actually sound like they'd make a good combo.

Hmm, maybe we can work on some kinda tag team signals...

It was some kinda fancy party in a secret location the gym leaders invited us to! I mean, it was super secret. They blindfolded us on the way there and back and everything.

And oh, team signals sound like a great idea! You should definitely go for it.

You know, it kind of was? But it was a pretty big thing, I think. I mean, that's the impression I got! One of those fancy shindigs where there are important people everywhere and you have no idea who they are but they're still pretty impressive.

Eesh. That sounds kinda intimidating, even without the blindfolding thing. What was the party for? I mean, were they just rich guys throwing one for kicks, or was it for a birthday or something?

...I think it might've been rich people throwing one for kicks, but this cool new Pokemon species that no one here ever saw before showed up, too! If I'm remembering right, that's the big reason they did it.

Oooh. What's the new pokemon like?

It's... this little slug thing. They kept calling it a Bloober, but I think it's actually a Goomy...? Anyway, even if regular slugs are really gross, this little guy's pretty cute, from what I could see!

...still kinda slimy, though.
